Conclusion

 

During the achievement of our « TPE », we studied one of the very essential things of the music : the chord. We then understood how important chords are in all of the various music styles that exist. From classical to jazz music we can say that chords are essential to the spirit and the colour of a melody. It can deepen a theme or intensify it . It is also a way for musical composers to express new things and atempt to work in a whole new musical universe. In a same way, the auditor then can discover music of another kind which can lead him to feel some other new emotions. We also understood that even if notes were chosen because of mathematic relations, music and chords have progressed in a very unique way which is based on cultural choises and musical intuition. It is then very difficult to justify musical phenomenon, such as our perception of chords, with mathematical and physical explaination. That is why music still remain an unsolved mystery but we still can wonder: Will science ever be able to fully explain music ?
